WRITING: Release

I don't know where to begin. It's 3 pm and I'm seated typing this out. Do you ever feel like you just can't get something right? I know I normally post about looking at the brighter side of things. This time around, I feel down. I thought of going out for a walk to clear my head but I'm down with a terrible cold. Could it get any worse? It looks like writing was my net best option.

Any chance you know of Post Secret? Well, it's a website where people's secrets are posted anonymously. I read it every Sunday. This is how it works, all you have to do is send in your secret as a post card and it gets published. I think there's now an app too. That aside, I feel like there is some sort of release in sharing secrets this way. I believe the beauty lies in the fact that your inner most secret has been shared but you are still concealed by the anonymity it Post Secret gives you.

Many times I tell people about Post Secret and I'm almost always asked if I've sent in a secret of my own. No, I have not. Maybe one of these days I'll get my lazy self to the post office and send in a secret of my own. The thing is, often times I see myself in the secrets posted by others. II think I've kind of lost track of where this post is going. Nonetheless, I shall continue to write and see where it's heading.

Got it! I think  I'll just get into what prompted me to write in the first place. I don't know but I think is some sort of a release for me. Other than the information I have provided to you in my posts, I'd say I'm still consoled by the fact that you don't know me after all. Apparently, there something in sharing a secret or any other thought when you know that you are concealed in a way. There's some sort of comfort in that.

As I was saying, before I drifted off yet again. I went to bed in a funk and woke up hardly feeling any better. My cold might just have a role to play in my  current disposition. Call me whiny but I feel like I'm drifting from the people closest to me. Wait, maybe I should say we are drifting from each other. It's one of those stories of a really good group of friends who slowly start to grow apart from each other. Last night didn't help in the least as there was some disagreement. Imagine, on my friend's birthday of all days. I don't know just how much I should let out but I feel this is okay for now. If I feel the need to release again, I'll be back :) I just made myself smile, that's a good thing I guess.

Looks like I might just go for that walk after all.

WRITING: Beautiful Yet Dysfunctional

Of late my posts have taken a more thought provoking approach. To be honest, I don't know what encouraged this trail of thought. However, that's not to say I don't like it. Saying otherwise would be an absolute lie. Am I a blogger? Yes. Do I like to write? I do but only occasionally. Odd, isn't it? I'd say I blog when I feel the need to. You know, like when I have a pressing thought that I just can't let go. You may or may not have noticed that I wander in circles in my writing until I finally get down to the main point. Let's just call that "organised disorganisation" as my high school teacher would say. None of my work is pre-written so I write as it comes. Basically, I just go with the flow.

With all of that said, I'll get right into today's post. Have you ever been in love? I have and only once. My goodness, it was a whole other experience for me. In all honesty, never have I felt this way before. According to wikipedia,

"Love refers to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes that ranges from interpersonal affection ("I love my mother") to pleasure ("I loved that meal"). It can refer to an emotion of a strong attraction and personal attachment.[1] It can also be a virtue representing human kindness, compassion, and affection—"the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another".[2] It may also describe compassionate and affectionate actions towards other humans, one's self or animals"

How do you define love? For me, I honestly don't know. What I do know is that I happen to agree that love is "an emotion of a strong attraction and personal attachment."  If you feel no attraction or attachment, I think it's say it's not love. It could be a crush of some sort or infatuation at the most.

Love, love, love. What prompted this post you say? Well, I just so happen to be in love myself. I fell in love and I fell hard. Ha! It's quite silly actually. To start off, I'm not quite the expressive type. In fact, I'm far from it. So you can imagine the difficulty I have with expression of my emotions. It's terrible but I think it's safe to say I've made a few strides towards improvement.

I'm still going on with this post and I'm quite uncertain as to where it's going. Nevertheless, I shall continue with my ramblings. I had a blog prior to this one but later deleted it. I'd say it was more of a personal blog and I couldn't cope anymore. As typical of people such as myself, I deleted it and continued to live with my thoughts tucked snugly some where inside my head. I should think this is my most personal post here.

I was seventeen when I first fell in love. Two years later, I'm still in the same boat. Many times I wonder just how it happened. Honestly, this thing called love is crazy. You don't know with who or when it will happen. Ahhh!! I'm tired. This girl over here needs a break.

It's quite a funny predicament I'm in. Truth be told, it's slightly amusing at times. Alas! Such is life; you never really know when it will throw you the curve ball.

FICTION: Love Story Part 1

Hello there. I know I haven't blogged in quite a while. I was down with a cold for about a week and school's been keeping me quite busy. So, it's winter. Okay, it's some-what winter time; the nights are quite chilly. Anyway, a while back I promised a three part series. Uhm, it took me quite a while to put two and two together and I think I now have something enjoyable for you. Here we go.

As Amy lay in bed staring at her ceiling, she wondered how her love life had ended up as it did. Ever since she moved towns she'd had her fair share of emotional turmoils. Right now she felt like she was on an emotional roller coaster which had temporarily stopped. For once, she felt like she could make sense of her "love story".

..........

It all started when she moved to Dalesville and met Andrew. He seemed nice enough but she didn't feel the connection. He visited her often, called and got her a few gifts here and there. Eventually, it became something but she just didn't feel the way he did. Then one day she met James and she would never be the same again. Little did she know that James would become a recurring character in her life.

..........

The months with Andrew went by and yet Amy still felt the same. She knew she had to do something, it was time she told Andrew she just didn't feel the way he did for her. Telling Andrew seemed so hard because he just wouldn't understand. She was patient with him, hoping one day he'll get just what she was saying to him. Eventually, she turned cold. She didn't want to but he made her do it. This was the only way she thought he'd understand. She found it unfair not only to him but herself as well to carry on with something that wasn't real.
..........

Little did Amy know that Andrew was only part of the drama to come. Not too long after her fiasco with Andrew, she met Jake. He was tall, dark and handsome with piercing eyes that made him look both serious and thoughtful. She thought she had finally gotten it right with him. Maybe he was the one. He'd visit her and she'd visit him. They enjoyed each other's company what more could she ask for? Her fairy tale was short lived. She began to feel that Jake wasn't really in it. She too realized that nothing was going to happen between the two of them. It seemed like a mutual understanding developed between the two. Unspoken words, yet audible and understood. Eventually, they became and remained friends.

..........

The return of James..

WRITING: The Resurrection.

Hello there. It's me again, back with yet another blog. So, my previous "blogging" career took somewhat of a break. Pretty much it was due to the fact that I experienced writer's block one too many times. Hopefully, I'll have better luck with this one. I kind of have this feeling that my creative juices are flowing. I hope I don't run out.

So, 'The Resurrection' is pretty much my return to blogging. My new blog-A to Z- is more or less about anything that goes on around me or happenings in my day-to-day life. I thought the name was convenient enough because A to Z are the letters of the alphabet and we do write with them after all, so it gives me room to pretty much talk about anything I see fit. I could talk about mashed potatoes and gravy for all I care, I joke :) Although I must say, I do feel quite optimistic this time around. Blogging might just become something I'll do more frequently. Despite the fact that I'm back at school now and will probably have tonnes of work to do, I think I could squeeze in a few posts here and there. I hope I still have my audience. If I remember correctly, I had my fair share of followers. Okay, a handful :) Hopefully, with this new blog it will get to two handfuls; a little optimism didn't kill nobody.

I guess that's about it for now. Until my next blog post, it's adios from me.

Bless
