WRITING: Ugh

It's Spring, yay! Truth be told, I'm not really that optimistic. Nonetheless, happy spring to you all. You may or may no know but I'm currently in North Cyprus. The beginning of spring is a reminder that the insatiable heat of summer will soon be upon us. Goodness! Summer here is so hot and I'm actually kind of dreading it. I must say, I have enjoyed the sun rays hitting my back and the much milder weather but lurking at the back of my mind is the inferno that is yet to come. Yikes!

The weather aside, I feel absolutely horrible. I'm down with a sore throat and a headache. I'd spent pretty much of my day in bed as I simply couldn't find it in me to gather up some strength. It's 7 pm and I'm finally out of bed. I had to get myself dinner. Lol, food was my motivator. Oh, that and the fat I was meant  to get myself some lemons to help combat this sore throat. You can imagine the predicament I'm in. I'm left to taking lemon tea in this kind of weather. Help me Lord. What else can I do? I really am in no position to get into town and buy a few meds.

I think that should be all for now. My little update for the day. I believe my last post was sometime in February. If you had read it, I'm happy to say that things are a lot better with my friends now. Until my next blog post, it's ta-ta from me.

WRITING: The End Of The Beginning

Hello there. Before I get into today's post, I thought I'd let you know it's not as serious as the title implies. Truth be told, I couldn't think of a better title so we'll just have to stick with this one. Don't worry, I'll make up for the serious title with my attempts at humour.

This post was inspired by my stay here in North Cyprus for summer. I know, we still have a few more months ahead of us. Summer is not yet over. Last summer, I went home for holiday. During the months of June and July, my country is at it's coldest. August, is more or less windy and it starts to get heated up in September. Anyway, this summer, I spent one month of my holiday here in North Cyprus. I think I have mention that I'm a student here.

Where shall I begin? I'll  start with the weather. God Lord!!!! This summer has been crazy hot. My body hasn't experienced such temperatures before, lol. I like to think Africa is hot but my beloved Zambia doesn't get to such heights. I'll be leaving in about two weeks time so I'm not going to experience summer's full wrath. I'll get to cool off back home :) Yay me! All in all, this holiday was something. Something's an understatement, I'd say it's been a different experience for me.

Life is meant to be lived. When you live life, you enjoy it and make memories! Yes, I have made my summer memories. On the note of living life, here's a post I did on the difference of living and existing. Click on the link and have a look if you may have missed it, http://osinop95.blogspot.com/2014/02/writing-are-you-living-or-existing.html

Until my next post, happy summer and don't forget to make those memories!

FASHION: Aztec Print Leggings.

Aztec print leggings are a must have in your wardrobe. I bet you're probably thinking, “Aren't they only for summer?” No, they're not. These wonderfully patterned leggings can be worn both in winter and summer. So fear not, you can still have that edge and rock yourself a pair of these printed beauties.

We all know winter is dry and cold but a warm pair of Aztec pants should be able to keep you snug enough. Next time you go shopping, look for a cotton or wool pair and you should be good to go. Aztec print leggings paired with winter boots- combats being my favourite- or a trendy pair of pumps should help make the perfect outfit!

Summer time! What does that mean? Colour, colour, and more colour! Don’t be afraid to splash a little colour around. A brightly coloured pair of these coupled with a plain white tee or denim shirt can work as either the perfect date or casual outfit.
